The Floyd County Board of Education has agreed to restore two of the 10 furlough days that were included in the 2013-14 calendar.

Teachers and staff will receive full pay for those two days with their November check, though the two workdays probably won’t be added back until sometime after Christmas.

“These will not be instructional days,” Superintendent Jeff McDaniel said.

Teachers will be surveyed over the next couple of weeks as to which workdays they prefer to come back on, and a decision on the specific dates will be made by the end of this month.
