Ogeechee River settlement finalized | savannahnow.com

U.S. District Court Chief Judge Lisa Godbey Wood on Wednesday signed an order approving the settlement announced in November between the Ogeechee Riverkeeper and King America Finishing.

Her signature means the textile processor has 15 days to pay $2.5 million to the Ogeechee Riverkeeper to fund the nonprofit’s continuing efforts to protect the black water river. The company also has 15 days to being posting its daily monitoring data on a publicly accessible web site.
