ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The temporary head of the Dougherty County School System might be willing to stick around if board members offer the right incentives.
The school board is searching for a replacement for Interim Superintendent David Mosely, but he says he would consider taking the job on a more permanent basis.
Mosely said another two years would help him finish the work he started when he took over. He says the time would help him refocus the school system, eliminate marginal employees, and attract more quality people to fill the openings.
Mosely told WALB that a couple board members have approached him about permanently taking over, and says he would accept the job if the majority of the board asks him to stay.
