Veteran Columbia County Commissioner Bill Morris retained his seat for another four years in Tuesday’s election.
The District 4 incumbent defeated Vernon Thomas with 3,965, or 63.76 percent, of the votes.
“I’m pleased,” Morris said. “It’s exciting. It’s nice to be afforded the opportunity to be a part of such an exciting time for Columbia County.”
