Several U.S. Senate candidates and other politicians are expected to attend a GOP 7th District party this holiday, at the party district chair Jason Thompson’s law office at 2675 Mall of Georgia Blvd. in Buford.
With a view of the Mall of Georgia fireworks, the $5 event includes music, food, face-painting and some stumping.
Congressmen Jack Kingston and Paul Broun and former Secretary of State Karen Handel, who are running as Republicans for the U.S. Senate seat Saxby Chambliss currently holds, have confirmed they will attend. (Well, they did before the rain forecast.)
Local Congressman Rob Woodall will also be there, and other bigwigs, including the governor have been invited.
The Gwinnett GOP will also hold a straw poll for the 2014 race.
