City BOE approves ‘test out’ option, millage rate – Times-Georgian: News

Carrollton High School students who wish to skip a course will be able to this year — if they can pass the End of Course Test before ever setting foot in the classroom.

The Carrollton City Schools Board of Education on Tuesday unanimously voted to approve a change to the system’s policy of awarding units and transferring credit, accommodating the so-called “test-out option,” which has effectively been handed down by the state BOE.

The board also approved the millage rate for fiscal year 2014, keeping the rate at 19.19.
