Perdue Launches First TV Ad
Substantial network and cable television buy throughout Georgia
Former Dollar General CEO and Republican candidate for United States Senate David Perdue today began airing his first television advertisement of the campaign. The ad will be running in numerous Georgia media markets as part of a substantial network and cable television advertising buy.
“I’m excited to begin a direct conversation with voters across the state. With a crushing federal debt and a stagnant economy threatening our very way of life, we have a limited window of opportunity to get things back on track,” said Perdue. “I believe that it will take an outsider with real business experience to get big things done, and our media campaign helps show Georgians the clear choice they will have in this election.”
In the commercial, Perdue makes his case directly to the voters: “It’s hard to believe that my opponents have been in office for 63 years. I’ve spent my life learning how to deal with large complex situations like I found at Reebok and Dollar General. If these politicians had any understanding of the free enterprise system and knew how to make a difference, wouldn’t they have done it already?”
The TV ad is part of broader media campaign, which includes online advertising and a five-minute video the campaign released yesterday. The four crying babies named Jack, Karen, Paul, and Phil that were featured in the campaign video also make an appearance in the TV ad. Perdue asks the viewers to help him “change the childish behavior” in Washington.
