Adoptable Georgia Dogs for August 14, 2013

ForgottenPaws LolaLola finds herself in a position much like Sulley did last week, losing the family she loves through no fault of her own, as they are moving overseas and have put Lola in boarding for a few days to try and find her a home. Her family writes:

She’s about 75 pounds, with a beautiful luxurious coat and friendly face.

From a personality standpoint, she’s extremely low-maintenance and pretty mellow. She loves to chase a tennis ball, etc., but she doesn’t require lots of space to run. She likes to hang out, and she’s not destructive at all. Right now, we’re living in an apartment complex, and she’s perfectly happy with a few short visits to the dog park every day. Of course she loves a nice walk, but she doesn’t bounce off the walls if she doesn’t get a lot of exercise.

Last week, she went and met a prospective family but was a little too rambunctious for them — likely a result of the stress she’s under. I suspect she will return to her mellow self once she’s in a home.

If you can help Lola stay out of the shelter, please email info@forgottenpaws.com immediately. The sad truth is that as an owner-surrender, Lola would almost certainly be euthanized; this time of the year, shelters are inundated with abandoned dogs and cats and many are euthanizing for space.

Today and tomorrow are Lola’s last chance, as she is scheduled to go to a shelter. Please help today!

LexiBarrowToday may also be Lexi’s last chance as the volunteers at Barrow County Animal Shelter are trying to raise money immediately to help buy her a few more days. To pledge for Lexi, click here to visit the fundraising post on Facebook and post your pledge amount.

GwinnettPointerMixThis male Pointer mix is urgent at Gwinnett County Animal Shelter, which is currently overcrowded.
