Tybee Island hosting SpongeBob SquarePants meeting | savannahnow.com

Tybee Island will be one location for the production of “SpongeBob SquarePants 2: The Movie” beginning this month.

The production company will be hosting a public meeting at City Hall, 403 Butler Ave., at 9 a.m. Sept. 20 in the auditorium.

This is a chance to meet with the local coordinator, learn about details involved with their filming on Tybee and opportunities available for extras.
