The Marietta Daily Journal – Senate hopeful Perdue weighs in on hot button issues

KENNESAW — Former Dollar General CEO David Perdue, a Republican hoping to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, weighed in on such topics as Common Core, medical marijuana, abortion, the national debt and guns on college campuses in a Saturday interview with the Marietta Daily Journal.Perdue then went on to speak to a crowd of about 60 gathered at the Wingate Hotel in Kennesaw.Among those in attendance was Cobb GOP Chairman Joe Dendy, who predicted a runoff among the Republican candidates after the May 20 primary.
