Georgia Adoptable Dogs for August 7, 2013

These four dogs are among the pets in urgent need of a savior immediately. Without a commitment to adopt or rescue by 12:30 PM today they will be euthanized. Rescue groups can email jaclyn.nguyen@gwinnettcounty.com to save a dog, and individuals best get there ASAP or make arrangements with a licensed rescue group that is approved to pull dogs from the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter.

These guys are also in desperate need; you can save a life today.

This black lab boy also needs a home or he might end up in a shelter; owner surrenders are the most-likely to be euthanized when the shelters fill up, as there is no mandatory waiting period. This poor guy’s owners got divorced and he’s going to be out of a home if he’s not taken in by Thursday.

I am recently divorced and the situation is very unfortunate in that my former spouse had a black lab (named Sulley) that she is unable to care for any longer. I am not in a place that will allow me to have a large pet so we are in desperate need of a new home for him fast [by Thursday August 8th]. He is about 5 years old, healthy, smart and as friendly as a lab can be.
Sulley (he) is great with kids and other animals and has never shown any aggressiveness toward people or other animals.
I hate that I can’t keep him, he’s a great dog, very smart and loyal, and I’ve been very nervous about what may happen to him. My ex-wife was going to give him to her parents but they travel too much and decided they wouldn’t be a good home for him.
