Hall County Tax Commissioner Darla Eden is taking nonpayment of taxes on mobile homes seriously.
The Hall County Tax Commissioner’s Office has started a “renewed effort” to actively monitor tax payments on mobile homes. The county gives the property owners a decal to display on their homes that is visible from roadways. All taxes must be fully paid to get the decal.
For mobile homes that aren’t displaying the sticker properly, the Hall County Marshal’s Office can issue a $25 ticket. If the owner is required to appear in Magistrate Court, the judge could issue a fine of up to $1,000 and/or 60 days in jail per ticket.
