State school Superintendent John Barge will visit A.R. Johnson Magnet School next week to recognize the school as a 2012 Georgia School of Excellence in Student Achievement.
A.R. Johnson was one of 28 schools named a school of excellence on Aug. 13. The award is given to schools that show the highest performance or highest progress in the state based on College and Career Ready Performance Index scores.
Barge’s visit is at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 29.
