State of Georgia to train workers for Chattanooga VW plant – Rome News-Tribune: Business

The state of Georgia is planning to build a $10 million facility in northwest Georgia to train workers for jobs at Volkswagen’sChattanooga manufacturing plant and its suppliers.

The Technical College System of Georgiaintends to build a new facility to teach automated manufacturing technology on the campus of Georgia Northwestern Technical College in Ringgold, Ga. It’s now seeking a general contractor for the project, whose construction costs are estimated to be $9.2 million to $10.1 million.
