RN-T.com – County sees influx of SPLOST proposals on final day

The Floyd County manager’s office received 28 applications for projects to be possibly included on a special purpose, local option sales tax package expected to go before voters in November.

Friday was the final day for applications to be turned in.

The initial deadline was April 30, but only one had been received by then, resulting in an extension.

Linda Harris, who works in the county manager’s office and is the Floyd County grants manager, said of the 28 received Friday, 15 were sent in by the City of Rome.
