Taco Tuesday and Ravioli are big, friendly boys. They’re calm dogs who like being together and don’t mind waiting their turn for treats and pets. They both sit and lie down for treats, and Taco played a few rounds of fetch. Ravioli decided it was too hot for running, and he’d rather just watch Taco play.
I never felt overwhelmed with these guys even though Taco weighs 70 pounds and Ravioli weighs 94 pounds. They’re well-behaved, good dogs. I walked them back to their kennel individually, and they were fine on a leash even when other dogs were barking at them. Taco has a few raw places on his back probably from scratching, but now that he’s getting flea treatment, that should clear up. I enjoyed being with these sweet new friends.

Sadly, Rampage is back. He’s still a pup with puppy behavior that includes being a little mouthy and chewing on things he shouldn’t. But also like a pup, he’s playful and loves being with people. I love Rampage and we have a lot of fun. Whenever I take him out, he heads for a toy. He likes to roll around with it, and I’ll throw another one, and he’s off to get it, too. Playtime wears him out and he’s ready to put his head on my lap and be loved on. If Rampage gets mouthy like pups sometimes do, I correct him, and it’s not a problem. He’s a smart boy and can learn what’s appropriate for chewing/mouthing. I hope he finds a new home with a family that can work with him through the puppy stage giving him guidance, time for play, and lots of love.
Rampage is so much fun! As soon as he entered the interaction pen, he spied a toy and immediately began playing with it. He let me have it to throw and was so entertaining. He’s still a pup and a little clumsy as he ran with his toy, dropped it, and accidentally kicked it away when he tried to pick it up again. He’d also roll around on the turf with it having a great time. Rampage will sit for treats or sit and wait for his toy to be thrown again. He was adopted from the shelter as a younger pup, and it’s time he found a forever family. He’s a sweet, happy boy with lots of joy to share!
Biscuit is a senior male mixed breed dog who is available for adoption from Athenspets in Athens, GA.
Biscuit is a sweet cutie. She’s blind but doesn’t let that keep her from meeting new friends. She was happy for me to carry her outside and liked exploring a bit. She may be able to see shapes/some things because she found the water bucket and returned to it when she wanted water, but she also bumped into the fence and bench. If she ever felt lost, she’d sit down and bark a few times, and I’d pick her up and take her back to a blanket or hold her for a while. She’s a nice dog, and if she’s not reclaimed, I bet she can learn to get around in a new home.

Amsterdam gave me a big smile when I stopped at her kennel. She’s a friendly girl and didn’t hesitate to walk with me. Once we reached the interaction pen, she gave me a hug and enjoyed pets. Amsterdam liked staying close and loved sitting for treats. She’s a sweet, happy cutie with brown speckles on her white coat and a splash of brown on and around one ear.
