Nunn launches first TV ad in Ga. – POLITICO Morning Score – POLITICO.com

FIRST IN SCORE—NUNN LAUNCHES FIRST AD: Georgia Democratic candidate Michelle Nunn is introducing herself to voters beginning today with her first ad, a biographical spot that highlights her nonprofit work with former President George H.W. Bush.

“Some people ask me why, with all the dysfunction in Washington, I’m running for Senate. In the end I think it comes down to me being an optimist,” she says in the ad.

“While leading President Bush’s Points of Light Foundation, we grew it into the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. I’ve seen firsthand the power of individuals to work with businesses, charitable and religious organizations to make change. I know things can be better.”

The majority of ad activity in Georgia thus far has been on the GOP side, where a crowded and competitive primary is taking up candidates’ attention[.]
