WARNER ROBINS — Some numbers changed in a Friday recount of the city election tallies, but the end results were the same.
The recount had the same winners and the same people in the Dec. 3 runoff.
The only discrepancy found was in the vote totals for Daron Lee, who narrowly finished third and out of the runoff for the mayoral election. Election Superintendent Kathy Cummings said the actual number of individual votes for Lee was correct, but there was an error in calculating a total.
Lee actually had 546 votes from absentees and early voting, but it was incorrectly totaled at 646, Cummings said.
With the corrected number, Chuck Chalk moved up to third and Lee dropped to fourth, but Chalk was still the same number of votes out of the runoff, which was 138.
