TAMPA (FOX 13) –
United for Care, the campaign to put a medical marijuana petition on the Florida ballot, just surpassed the total number of verified petition signatures it needs to qualify for the ballot.
According to data provided by the Florida secretary of state, the campaign has — as of as of Friday afternoon — 710,508 verified signatures, surpassing the 683,149 total needed. The state notes that these ‘verified totals’ are still unofficial until the initiative receives certification and a ballot number.
