Happy Independence Day from the Georgia Republican Party

GAGOPemailheaderHappy Independence Day!

Fellow Republicans,

On July 4, 1776, our forefathers declared independence from the tyrannical rule of Great Britain and the greatest democracy in the world was born.

While we still face many challenges as a nation 237 years later, I take comfort in the words of the great American inventor Thomas Edison who penned, “Whatever setbacks America has encountered, it has always emerged as a strong and more prosperous nation.  So be brave as your fathers before you…have faith and go forward!”

So today, as we celebrate this great country’s independence from tyranny and oppression, let us also endeavor to continue in our valiant efforts to protect the Constitution and preserve freedom for many generations to come!

Amidst the picnics, barbeques, and fireworks shows, let us also remember that our freedom came at a high price.  We must recognize and thank the men and women, sons and daughters, friends and neighbors, who fought on our behalf, to preserve freedom, prosperity, and opportunity for all Americans.  These servicemen and women are nothing short of American heroes and we are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice.

Happy Independence Day!  May God continue to pour out his blessings on our beloved country, the United States of America!

Sincerely,

John Padgett
Chairman
Georgia Republican Party
