Gwinnett Daily Post | Martin plans to stay active after leaving Lawrenceville council

LAWRENCEVILLE — Lawrenceville Councilman Peter K. (P.K.) Martin IV announced here Monday night that he would not seek re-election in the city’s fall election.

Martin, a Lawrenceville native who made the announcement at the monthly meeting of the city council, said that he would still remain active in the community.

“I appreciate all the time I’ve had here on the council. It’s been a great honor to serve you,” he told the audience.

“The good news is that we have a great team up here (council), and a better team behind the scenes,” said Martin, a councilman in Lawrenceville since 2005.
