Diplomas for the 14 summer-term graduates of Georgia Regents University’s Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences misspelled college.

A few recent Georgia Regents University graduates were surprised to find that the diplomas honoring their academic success featured a dictionary blunder.

Diplomas for the 14 summer-term graduates of GRU’s Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences misspelled a seven-letter word that encompassed life for the graduates: college.

It had three L’s instead of two: Pamplin Colllege.

After a student alerted staffers to the spelling error, the diplomas were reprinted, said university spokeswoman Christen Carter.
