2. Kindle, iPad, or other tablet computer with charger.

3. Paperback book in case of electric failure.

6. Bring your own internet connection. I know it’s Athens, I know it’s supposed to be civilized, but at the DeKalb County Convention in Dunwoody, we had no wi-fi. Don’t come begging me for a password to my wireless router.

7. Best suggestion: a seat cushion.
