Gainesville, Hall schools show gains on competency tests | GainesvilleTimes.com

School scores on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test were released Tuesday, showing how individual Hall County and Gainesville City schools did on the exams.

When the system results were released in June, they showed modest improvements for both school systems.

In Gainesville, the schools that were “most improved” were Fair Street Elementary and Gainesville Middle, said Jamey Moore. Moore is the director of curriculum and instruction for the school system.

“They both showed gains in all five content areas,” he said. “Many of the other schools showed gains as well, but for them to show gains in all five content areas, it shows exceptional effort by students and teachers.”
