Tax Day 2014: Remember Obama’s 442 Proposed Tax Increases

Bob Barr: The Experience To Oppose Obama and His Job Killing Taxes

To most hard-working Americans, April 15th is neither a day for celebration nor cheer.  For President Barack Obama, it is a Day of Celebration. Since taking office in 2009, Obama has formally proposed a total of 442 tax increases, according to an analysis by Americans for Tax Reform.

Even worse, that total of 442 proposed tax increases does not include the 20 tax increases Obama signed into law as part of Obamacare.

Bob Barr, a candidate to represent Georgia’s 11th District in the U.S. House of Representatives, put it this way:

“Obama’s love for tax increases is hurting families and business across the country, including in the 11thDistrict.  If left unchallenged, this President would do nothing but raise taxes. On this Tax Day 2014 as Americans prepare to pay their taxes, each one has another important decision to make — Who do you want to hire to go to Congress to fight Obama and his 442 proposed tax increases?

“This is no time for to send a rookie to Congress. I have the experience and proven track record for standing up to a liberal, tax-loving president and to fight for the Constitution and our values.  I have done it before and I will do it again.

“I promise you this, when I return to Congress I will fight Obama each and every time he proposes a new tax or job-killing regulation, and I will work for and support legislation to cut taxes, regulations, and fees so our small businesses and families can keep more of their money in the first place.”
