At least six companies started looking at Macon-Bibb County for a possible location during the past 30 days.
Those companies would create a total of more than 280 jobs, according to a report presented Monday to the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority by Stephen Adams, project manager for the Macon Economic Development Commission.
The companies represent the aerospace, food and automotive industries, as well as three unknown manufacturers. Company names are not released while they are searching for a location.
