Cobb County commissioners proceeded with a public hearing Tuesday morning on new taxes and fees to help pay for its $300 million commitment toward a new Atlanta Braves stadium, despite Gov. Nathan Deal declaring a state of emergency for Atlanta metro region and other areas of the state.
Only a few residents spoke at the hearing. Roads were wet but there was no accumulation of ice or sleet on the interstate highways or surface roads around Marietta and East Cobb.
