Catoosa County commissioners on Thursday will consider a proposed resolution to support Hutcheson Medical Center with immediate financing.
The resolution will be presented during a public commissioners meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday in the public meeting room of the county administration building.
Commissioners called the meeting this morning, saying the purpose of the meeting is to discuss and possibly take action on an amended resolution to supply the hospital with a bond anticipation note.
The resolution approved Sept. 3 by the commission was for $35 million. It would cover the $23 million debt to Regions Bank, $500,000 loaned from Erlanger, and vendor debt.
Stipulations of the resolution were that Walker County would share the $35 million note. Walker County sole commissioner Bebe Heiskell dismissed the idea, leaving Catoosa County to bear the burden of short-term financing alone.
