PERRY — The Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority approved a motion Wednesday to reduce admission to the Georgia National Fair to $8 for Oct. 8.
The board also extended the free military day from one to two days, which will be Oct. 7-8 and include the immediate family of the active, retired or reservist military member. Regular tickets are $10.
“We wanted to boost attendance midweek and extend the fair to more people,” said Michele Treptow, director of communications for the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter.
Also, Irwin reported that the Peach Blossom Cluster Dog Show April 11-14 drew nearly 14,000 visitors to the fairgrounds for its six-day event.
