Adoptable Georgia Dogs for December 23, 2013

This week, we pray for Christmas miracles, and we look for opportunities to be someone else’s miracle.

Lucas was rescued from Barrow County Animal Shelter, but has lost his foster home, so he’s in desperate need of a new foster family for the holidays. Lucas is house-broken and gets along well with children and other dogs. If you can help go to for Foster App and email to

This little boy is a pit bull or boxer mix named “Fisher,” but I’d probably call him “Fish Lips” because of that funny face he’s making if he came to live with me. He is in urgent need of a foster or adoptive home and is available for adoption from DeKalb County Animal Control. He is neutered and micro-chipped, but unfortunately heartworm positive. The Christmas miracle he seeks is a loving home that can help him through his heartworm treatments.

That Fritz, a young male pit bull survived this far is probably his first miracle. He can into the DeKalb County Animal Control emaciated, as a cruelty case. But look how healthy he is today and how he still smiles! The next miracle Fritz needs is an adoptive home, as DeKalb Animal Control will have to euthanize a large number of dogs for space. He is available for adoption from the DeKalb County Animal Shelter.
