Cooper is a fun, friendly boy. He was already in an interaction pen when I joined him, and he greeted me right away. He was thrilled to see I had toys. He LOVES toys and would sit and wait for me to throw them. Sometimes, he’d even bring them back to be rewarded with a treat. Cooper is a great dog, but he can jump a fence. He was too busy having fun to think about that today, but he probably needs to be an indoor dog who’s supervised when he’s in a fenced yard.

Hambone is a low-riding cutie. He immediately spied the toys I had on the table and had fun playing with all of them. Afterwards, he took his favorite one to the shade as he relaxed. He’s a happy, friendly boy with a big smile for everyone he meets.

Cartwright is a friendly guy who likes sitting for treats. He was thrilled to find other treats that had actually been left behind by his sister Sheba when she had been in the pen before him. Cartwright, Sheba, and their brother Sampson were all surrendered together. Their former owner said they’ve been around kids ages 13 to 17. Before returning Cartwright to his kennel, we stopped at his brother’s gate. They touched noses and tails were wagging. Cartwright and his siblings are all sweet older dogs.
