Adoptable (Official) Georgia Dogs for August 26, 2020

James is a young male Labrador Retriever and Shepherd mix puppy who is available for adoption from Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters in Cumming, GA.

An Animal Control officer found three puppies outside and trying to survive on their own. No one came to the county shelter to claim the puppies, so Furkids stepped in to help them find forever homes. Their names are James, Jack and Justin.

These pups came to us under socialized, but they have been in a foster home learning to live inside a home and to trust humans. Each is progressing at his own pace (see individual bios for each dog’s personality).

James is the bravest of his brothers. He will let his foster mom pet him and will take treats from her hand. Here’s the best part – he will then give the treats to his brothers! He is no longer afraid of his foster and likes to hop around her and put his wet nose on her. He’s even played with her a couple of times. His foster describes him as a gregarious and gentle dog.

Samba is a young male Shepherd and Retriever mix puppy who is available for adoption from Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters in Cumming, GA.

Samba had been abandoned, but luckily Animal Control found him. Soon after, Samba’s luck got ever better when Furkids brought Samba into its program. He’s a good dog who needs a forever home. Samba is a very active puppy and because of this, it is recommended that he go to a home with a fenced yard and no small children as he likes to play with his mouth. Additionally, Samba has current medical needs which could require future vet visits to manage.

Sambe was diagnosed with hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD). HOD is a bone disease that occurs in fast growing large breed dogs.
