If there’s ever a time for redemption, it’s Passover and Easter; it would be great if a dog named Grace (above and below) found her forever home at this time of the year.
“Gracie” is a happy girl. She’s pretty funny as she dances her short and plump self at the front of her kennel looking for petting and, even better, a walk outside. She’s a really friendly girl with people and other dogs. She’s got a gentle side in her play and interactions.
She seems to be in good health. Her coat, skin, eyes and ears are all in good shape. Her teeth have a bit of tartar, but nothing out of the ordinary for a dog we are aging at about 4 to 5 years old. She tested heartworm negative on 3/26/13 and was vaccinated (distemper/parvo), dewormed (Pyrantal), and given Adam’s flea/tick spray. She does really well on the leash and seems to hold it for quite a while in her kennel. She was turned in as a stray on 3/19/13 with a faded pink collar but no tag or microchip to find her owner… and nobody has come looking for her.
Go redeem this dog, please. There’s no better illustration of unconditional love than that offered by a dog, or by the person who saves a dog.
Grace is available from the Walton County Animal Shelter, who has the lowest adoption fees I’m aware of, and she will be spayed for free by a local vet.
Also looking for a permanent home from the Walton County Animal Shelter is Bitsy, a 2-year old, 15-pound female Jack Russell Terrier. She’ll be available for adoption on Monday. Walton Animal Shelter is closed today and this weekend for the holiday, but reopens Monday at 7:30 AM.
This sweet nine-year old senior female black Lab was found stray and is available for adoption from the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter. Senior dogs tend to be lower maintenance and calmer, and are great for young children or senior adults. Or anyone who needs a best friend.
Gwinnett County Animal Shelter calls this a Labrador/Beagle mix, but I’ll bet twenty dollars it’s a hound. This young male needs a new home, and you need a new dog. Make it happen.
