Brylen would make a great pet for a runner or an outdoorsy owner or family. She’s an adult female Husky mix who is available for adoption from All About Animals Rescue, Macon, GA. She’s sweet, playful, and gets along well with other dogs.
Reno is a two-year old male who is a striking mix of Husky/German Shepherd; he weighs 67 pounds and is available for adoption from Clayton County Humane Society, Jonesboro, GA. He gets along well with other dogs, but can be shy at first and doesn’t like being left alone.
Kaia is also a German Shepherd/Husky mix and is a two-year old female ball of energy and fun. She was originally a child’s birthday present and was left outside chained up. She lost her second family when they had to move to a no-pets apartment. She has gotten along well with cats and kittens and non-dominant ducks. Also, ducks. She apparently loves ducks of the rubber variety. She is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Jackson County, Jefferson, GA.
It looks like these two blue-eyed souls have found a rescue that is willing to save them from the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter, but they need help with donations for their care. Visit the Facebook page to pledge your help, and find out where to donate.
On October 11-12, the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter is hosting an event that will include pet adoptions and low-cost ($30) spay/neuter. It’s a great way to support animal adoption and spay/neuter.
Gwinnett County is calling this guy a coonhound, but I’d say he’s more of a bird dog. Some kind of setter or pointer. He’s large, friendly, and appears to have some training and he’s available for adoption from the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter. If you long for the kind of dog you see featured in Garden & Gun, without the expense or necessity of a field pedigree, this is the dog for you.
