Adoptable Georgia Dogs for August 22, 2013

On August 22, 1989, Nolan Ryan struck out Rickey Henderson to record his 5000th career strikeout, the only major league pitcher to do so. Ryan is a Republican.

Nolan is a Cattle Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix who was literally rescued off the street – his foster mom saw him running loose, stopped and opened the car door and he hopped in. Nolan gets along well with other dogs. He is available for adoption from Angels Among Us.

Ryan is a two-year old Lab/Hound mix who is available for adoption from the Humane Society of Forsyth County, Ga.

Nolan is an adult Black Lab mix who is available for adoption from Life is Labs Rescue in Temple, Ga. He’s a cuddle bug and loves to play with other dogs, especially Nia, his best friend, who is also available for adoption.

Nolan is a sweet 12-week old Lab Mix who is available for adoption from Ruff Rescues in Grovetown, Ga.

Ma is a sweet, adult (5-7 years) Pibble mix who is looking desperately for her home from behind bars in the Barrow County Animal Shelter. She appears to have raised several litters of puppies and is loved by the shelter volunteers. She won a brief reprieve after being on the euthanasia list, but won’t be saved again unless a foster or adoptive home is found.

Scotty is a ten-year old Golden Retriever who was rescued by Adopt A Golden Atlanta and promptly racked up a $6500 vet bill for removing some tumors, a mass on his spleen, some bad teeth, and five rocks in his stomach.
