Darien was transferred in from a local veterinarian clinic. Obviously he had excellent care before and after his arrival. Darien is an adorable little lab/bulldog mix. He is currently just under 7 pounds. Because his breed is a guess and his history is a mystery, we can’t wait to see what he grows into! Darien is very playful, outgoing, and sociable. Nova came in from a rescue situation along with Cayman and Corvette. She wasn’t quite a fortunate as them, though (so far). Nova has a rare disorder known as Craniomandibular Osteopathy. (CMO) is the result of bone swelling during the growth of the bones of the skull and jaw. Sometimes, only the jaw is involved. As such, young dogs between the ages of three and eight months are the most commonly afflicted. It can cause the jaw to swell completely shut. Obviously That didn’t happen with little miss Nova. Our veterinarian believes it is entirely possible Nova will outgrow this condition and live a completely normal life. For more information on Nova, email staci@hsscg.org. How could anyone resist that precious face? Nova is the sweetest girl ever! She is good with other dogs, loves people and is walking well on a leash. Nova is also learning to sit! Housebreaking should be fairly easy with positive reinforcement and patience. Nova is spayed, microchipped and has started on core vaccines.
