NANCY COVERDELL JOINS JOHN MCCALLUM FOR CONGRESS CAMPAIGN AS HONORARY CO-CHAIR

(St. Simons Island, Georgia) – Nancy Coverdell, wife of the late United States Senator Paul Coverdell (R-GA), will serve as Honorary Co-Chair of the John McCallum for Congress campaign in Georgia’s First Congressional District.

“It is with pleasure that I stand with John McCallum in his race for the U.S. Congress,” said Nancy Coverdell.  “As a resident of the First District, I am delighted to have a candidate with his background willing to make the sacrifices necessary to serve our country in this seat.

“John and his wife, Heather, were there in 1998 supporting my late husband, Paul Coverdell, in his race for the U.S. Senate, and they became close friends of ours.  John’s experiences working with Speaker Newt Gingrich and Senator Bob Dole will serve him well in his efforts to help get America working again.  His business background and keen understanding of financial matters will undoubtedly be an asset to the citizens of Georgia’s First District and the nation.”

“I am honored to have Nancy Coverdell’s support and friendship,” said John McCallum.  “Senator Paul Coverdell was instrumental in the establishment of the modern Republican Party in Georgia.  His legacy of humility, civility, and championing bold, conservative reform is one I will follow in the U.S. Congress.”

Conservative businessman and former Newt Gingrich aide John McCallum is a Republican running to represent Georgia’s First Congressional District in the U.S. Congress.  Congressman Jack Kingston, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, currently holds the seat.
