The Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission approved a conditional-use permit Monday to reopen an auto salvage operation on 20 acres in east Macon.
The applicant for the new permit, Robert Peacock, who operates Peacock’s Auto Salvage in Jones County, plans to reopen a salvage business on the site at 1849 Emery Highway.
Attorney Bert King of Gray said the site would be a second location for Peacock.
“His (current) operation is very clean, very efficient,” King said.
