The Atlanta Tea Party says it will hold an 11:30 a.m. Tuesday rally at the state Capitol to protest abuse by the Internal Revenue Service, spying on Washington journalists by the U.S. Justice Department, and the Obama administration’s response to the terrorist attacks on a U.S. diplomatic post in Libya.

Immediately after the state GOP convention in Athens dissolved for lack of a quorum, the Georgia Young Republicans held their brief gathering. We’re told that a straw poll in the race for U.S. Senate produced this result:
Karen Handel, 42 votes;
Jack Kingston, 21 votes;
Paul Broun, 14 votes;
Phil Gingrey, 9 votes;
And David Perdue, 3 votes.
