Businessman David Perdue filed his extensive financial disclosure with the U.S. Senate this week, showing a net worth between $11.9 million and $48 million.
The former CEO of Dollar General is running in the Republican field to replace Saxby Chambliss and has already pumped $1.3 million into his bid, and there could be more where that came from.
The financial disclosures, in which income and asset values are reported in ranges, show that Perdue made between $2.1 million and $8.1 million in the past year from investment income and serving on the corporate boards of Sandy Springs-based Graphic Packaging International Inc., California-based Easton-Bell Sports Inc., Washington-based Liquidity Services Inc. and Wisconsin-based Alliant Energy Corp.
Among his biggest investments are in Alliant, Georgia state bonds and Henry County School District bonds.
