Woman Arrested in Moonshine Case – The Newnan Times-Herald

A woman has been arrested in the investigation of a recently-discovered moonshine distillery on Providence Church Road.

Allyson Bridget Owens McClendon, 50, suspected of being involved in the moonshine still operation, was charged for the manufacturing, distribution, sale and use of alcohol Sunday, said Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough.

McClendon owns the property on the 300-block of Providence Church Road where the distillery was discovered during the search for the missing 78-year-old woman, Eleanor Alexander, in late July.
