TIFTON, GA (WALB) – Voters in one South Georgia city may soon get to decide whether they should be able to buy alcohol on Sundays.

Tifton city leaders are discussing whether to put two referenda’s on the November ballot. One would allow liquor by the drink in restaurants on Sundays.

The other would allow package sales in stores. One convenience store owner says Sunday sales would be good for his business.

“I can’t sell on Sunday, I can get a little bit more business if we sale on Sunday, we need it,” said Qadeer.
