ATLANTA — Cobb Sheriff Neil Warren was released from Grady Memorial Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after undergoing surgery for a fractured vertebra suffered in a car wreck last Thursday.
Warren’s wife, Penny Warren, said the surgeon called the operation a “text- book case” that could not have gone better.
Warren will be recovering at home and is not expected to return to the office for several weeks.
“The care Neil has received at Grady has been excellent,” said Penny Warren. “The doctors, nurses and other staff have been wonderful and have gone out of their way to make Neil comfortable. As a patient, I would rate Neil an eight.”
