The Muscogee County Tax Commissioner’s office will be closed Tuesday and probably Wednesday while it moves from the Government Center to the City Service Center off Macon Road, Tax Commissioner Lula Huff said today.

Huff said closing the office for a day or two was unavoidable because some of her office’s computer equipment is owned by the state and must be moved by state contractors, who do not work on weekends.

“There’s a possibility we could be open on Wednesday, if all goes well on Tuesday.” Huff said. “We’ll begin to move late tonight after work closes and on Tuesday.”

Huff’s will be the last offices will be the last to move into the new facility.
