Steven Fellows running for House District 44 Republican Primary

Kennesaw – Steven Fellows, former Executive Director of the Fulton County Republican Party, announced his candidacy for the Georgia House of Representatives Saturday at the Cobb County Republican Party’s monthly breakfast. He is running as a Republican in House District 44.

“Our representative democracy demands that Georgians have choices for their representation in state government,” Fellows said. “Georgia is at a crossroads. One path leads to more economic freedom for Georgians and the other will saddle our citizens and economy with more government overreach. We all deserve a choice as to the path we take, and that’s why I’m excited about announcing my candidacy.”Fellows said his campaign will be simple and direct. He plans on discussing very necessary reforms to the tax code, including the elimination of the state’s income tax in favor of a fair tax. He also highlighted the need for broader reforms of government ethics that include term limits and holding elected officials accountable for violating ethics laws.

“I firmly believe that making public service a profession is the wrong attitude to have as an elected official. Some officials campaign on their ability to control committees and some prefer the tough work of serving people,” Fellows said. “Protecting my seat is not my objective, protecting the rights and freedoms of all residents in the 44th and across Georgia is. I look forward to sharing my vision with every resident of my district and together creating meaningful progress in state government.”

Fellows will be holding a campaign kickoff reception on Saturday, October 12 beginning at 4:00 p.m. The event will be located at 4036 Maxanne Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
