State commissioner visits River Edge | Local & State | Macon.com

Frank Berry III, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, visited several River Edge Behavioral Health Center locations Thursday, praising them for their work.

In Bibb County, he toured the center’s headquarters on Emery Highway, a home for people with developmental disabilities; a private home where three men with developmental disabilities live with River Edge residential support; and LifeSPRING, an outpatient and residential facility for women recovering from addictions.

“We came here today to recognize the great work River Edge and its staff are doing to help the community,” Berry said in the release. “You all are a great partner and are helping us to meet the needs of Georgians — including our settlement agreement services — and assist us in making available lives of recovery and independence in the community for citizens.”
