The SPLOST passed by a margin of 84 votes with a large amount of support coming from the city. The ELOST passed hands down as well as alcohol sales by the drink and package sales.

The $65 million special purpose, local option sales tax (SPLOST) would fund a variety of projects, including the expansion of the Floyd County Animal Shelter and the construction of the Tennis Center of Georgia in Armuchee.
Voters countywide will also decide on an $80 million education local option sales tax that would build a new Coosa High School and fund a variety of other capital projects for county and city schools.
City, county and Cave Spring residents will also vote on Sunday alcohol sale in stores and restaurants in unincorporated areas.
