InsiderAdvantage Poll Shows Georgia House Speaker With Commanding Lead

(Blue Ridge, GA) – According to a new poll released today by InsiderAdvantage, Georgia House Speaker David Ralston (R-7) holds a commanding lead over his Republican Primary challenger, Sam Snider, by a 61%-to-26% margin.

“This is not the year of the challenger against Republican incumbents,” said InsiderAdvantage CEO Matt Towery.  ” In David Ralston’s case the candidate opposing him is really only diverting his (Ralston’s) attention from helping other conservative Republicans. Given that Ralston is all but assured of reelection, the primary battle only serves to potentially hurt his ability to help Republicans win in November by taking time and attention away from helping other districts. And that’s not good for the statewide GOP effort.”

The survey was conducted the evening of February 24th and has a margin of error of 5.6%.

Elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2002, Speaker David Ralston represents the 7th District, which includes Fannin and Gilmer counties and a portion of Dawson County.
