Special Election Will Be Held to Fill the Unexpired Term of Rep. Larry O’Neal
Bonaire – Local businessman Shaw Blackmon announced this morning that he is running to fill the unexpired term of Georgia Rep. Larry O’Neal.
“Today, I announce my candidacy for State House”, said Blackmon. “Houston County has a long tradition of great leadership, and Larry O’Neal will be sorely missed. However, I am ready for this challenge.”
“Georgia is headed in the right direction, but it doesn’t mean we don’t have our challenges,” expressed Blackmon. “I want our children to have the same opportunities as my generation. We have to continue to show strong conservative reform and ensure our next generation’s success.”
Shaw Blackmon is a conservative Republican candidate raised in Bonaire, GA. He is the President and CEO of National Bank Products in Warner Robins. Shaw serves on the boards of the Houston County Development Authority, Museum of Aviation Foundation, Technical College System of Georgia and SunMark Community Bank. He also served as the Chairman of the Houston County Heritage Foundation and is a member of the AFMC Community Liaison Program.
A graduate of Warner Robins High School, Blackmon received his BA in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia. He is an avid golfer and also helps coach Little League baseball. He is also a member of Central Baptist Church.
Blackmon looks forward to representing the people of this district with solid leadership and a fresh perspective.
