Collins Announces Congressional Committees and  Office Locations

Congressman Doug Collins (GA-09) today announced that he will serve on the House Committee on Rules and the House Committee on the Judiciary in the 114th Congress. This makes Collins’s second term on the House Judiciary Committee, where he will now serve as Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet. Collins be one of the newest members of the Rules Committee, which holds jurisdiction over every piece of legislation coming to a vote by the whole House of Representatives.

Collins said, “In the 114th Congress, committees are where we’ll be doing the hardest work in turning this country around. I’m honored to be in a position to make Northeast Georgia’s voice heard as every piece of legislation makes its way through the Rules Committee to the House floor.” Collins added, “On the Judiciary Committee, I’ll be working even harder on ways to encourage innovation and intellectual property for the next generation. We’ll also be making sure that in President Obama’s final two years in office, we’re protecting the American people from his increasingly reckless regard for the Constitution.”

The 114th Congress also brings changes to Congressman Collins’s office locations. To better serve constituents in the 9th District, Congressman Collins’s Gainesville Office will be located at 210 Washington Street NW Suite 202, Gainesville, GA. For constituents visiting Washington, DC, Congressman Collins’s office will be located in 1504 Longworth House Office Building. The office phone numbers,770-297-3388 for Gainesville and 202-225-9893 for Washington, will remain unchanged.
